Central Excise and Service Tax Department and pay tax from July 2010

The Central government has recently issued orders on eight new services imposing service tax. The service providers are instructed registrations of their services and pay tax as per the orders. Services for promoting, marketing or organising the games - including lottery, services for maintenance of records of employees of a company, promoting the brand of goods, services provided by electricity exchanges and services of permitting commercial use or exploration of any event organised by a person or an organization are liable for service tax. Persons engaged in the categories in Nellore and Prakasam districts should register themselves with the Central Excise and Service Tax Department and pay tax from July 2010.
