Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) invites applications from Indian citizens for STAFF SCIENTIST (Group Leader) positions, for which a number of vacancies exist including in two tenured Centres of Excellence projects (in Silkmoth Genetics and Genomics and in Microbial Biology). For all these positions, the candidates will be expected to lead independent groups and to attract extramural research funding.
Qualification :

• Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in any branch of Natural Sciences or an M.D., and must have an outstanding track record of scientific productivity, as evident from publications in scientific journals of high impact and/or international patents.
• Although post-doctoral experience is desirable, exceptional candidates with a fresh Ph.D. may also be considered. The level of appointment, at either Assistant or Associate Professor equivalent, will depend on the length of experience and the quality of scientific productivity
• First Class M Sc / First Class B Tech / MBBS / M Tech with three years experience in relevant field OR Ph.D with one year postdoctoral experience in the relevant field.
• Technical Officer- II (1 Post, Unreserved, Code No. 02)
• First Class B Sc or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience / M Sc or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience / B Tech or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience.

Pay: Pre-revised Scale of Pay: Rs. 7450-225-11500 (Revised Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600 (PB-2))
