OBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Bank PO Exam

Oriental Bank of Commerce invites all the eligible and aspiring candidates for the post of PO. Bank is conducting the Probationary Officer Exam in which selection will be made on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate in the written objective test and descriptive test. On clearing the Bank PO exam candidate have to go through the training program. OBC is one of the reputed banks that provide the recruitment to the candidates for the post of Probationary officer. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

•The minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years to be eligible for this Post.
•Candidate must not be more than 30 years of age.
•The candidate must have passed their graduation level from a recognized University with at least 60% aggregate to be eligible for this course.
•The candidate should be Computer Literate and must possess basic knowledge about the computer like MS-Office, sending and receiving E-mails, using Internet, etc.

IMPORTANT DATES:

•Online submission of Application form starts : Mid of October.
•Last date for the receipt of completely filled Application forms : First week of November.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

•All the eligible candidates have to appear in the written test which will be followed by Descriptive test to be recruited for the Post of PO.
•The selection will be based completely on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the above two tests.

EXAMINATION DETAILS:

Written Objective Test:

•Examination will comprise of 220 questions.
•The duration of this test is 135 minutes.
•The medium of the exam will be both English and Hindi.
•The cut-off marks determined in each test subjects to minimum of 40% marks (35% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PC category)

DETAILS OF QUESTION PAPERS:

Objective paper:

•General Awareness – 50 questions
•English - 50 questions
•Quantitative Aptitude - 50 questions
•Reasoning - 75 questions

Descriptive paper:

•This test consists of total 4 questions in which any 3 are to be attempted.
•The duration of this test is 45 minutes.
•This part is of 60 marks (each question 20 marks)
•The minimum passing marks would be 40% for General Category candidates and 35% for SC, ST, OBC and PC candidates.
